LeashOps Privacy Policy
Effective 14 October 2026 (draft)
LeashOps is scheduling software for pet-care businesses, made by Maude LLC, 121 South Hamilton Street #104, Madison, Wisconsin 53703. This policy explains what information the LeashOps app and website collect, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who uses LeashOps: pet-care companies and their staff, and the pet owners who are their customers.
Who is responsible for your information
Each pet-care company that uses LeashOps controls the information about its own customers and staff. Maude LLC provides the software and stores that information on the company's behalf. If you are a pet owner, the company you hired is your first point of contact for questions about your information; we help them answer.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and a PIN you choose. PINs are stored scrambled and cannot be read back by anyone, including us.
- For pet owners: your home address, how to get in (entry instructions, lockbox or key arrangements), your pets' names, types, care notes, vet and emergency contacts, and anyone else in your household you add as a co-owner.
- Visits: the visits booked for you, when they were completed, and the notes and photos or short videos the walker sends you about each one.
- Messages: what you and your pet-care company send each other inside the app, including photos and videos you attach.
- Payments: a record of payments you made and how (cash, check, Zelle or card). Card payments are handled by Stripe; LeashOps never sees or stores your card number.
- For staff: your working hours, time off, the visits you completed and what you are paid for them, and the keys you are holding.
- Device information: if you turn notifications on, a token that lets us send them to your phone. Standard server logs record the address your device connects from and when.
What we do not collect: LeashOps does not track your location. The app never asks for or uses location services. It does not use advertising trackers or sell information to anyone.
How it is used
- To schedule and carry out pet-care visits: your walker sees the address, entry details and pet notes for the visits assigned to them.
- To tell you what happened: visit notes and photos go to the pet owner who booked the visit.
- To send notifications you turned on, and emails such as sign-in codes, booking confirmations and reminders.
- To work out pay for staff and what owners have paid.
- To keep the service running and safe: backups, error reports, and limits on repeated sign-in attempts.
Who can see what
- Pet owners see their own information, their visits, and messages with their company.
- Staff see the customers they are assigned to or currently visiting, and what they need for the visit. They do not see other staff members' pay.
- The company's owner or office sees everything about their own company. One company cannot see another company's information.
- Maude LLC staff access information only to run and support the service.
Services we use to run LeashOps
Information is stored and processed by Supabase (database), Vercel (the app and its servers), Cloudinary (photos and videos), Resend (email), Stripe (card payments and subscriptions) and Sentry (error reports, which do not include your messages or photos). Each only receives what it needs for its job.
- Notifications on the LeashOps phone app: on Android they are delivered by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, and on iPhone by the Apple Push Notification service. They receive the notification token for your phone and the short text of each notification (for example "Your walk is done"), nothing else.
- Maps and drive times: when a company's office uses the button that places its customers' homes on a map to plan routes, the home addresses are sent from the office's own device to OpenStreetMap Nominatim (to turn an address into a point on the map) and the points to the OSRM route service (to work out driving times between them). This happens only when the office presses that button, never automatically, and nothing else about you is sent. The resulting map point is kept with your address and removed with it if you delete your account.
- Lettering: the app's typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Like any website, Google sees the address your device connects from when it downloads them; no account or personal details are sent.
How long we keep it
Visit history and payment records are kept while the company remains a LeashOps customer, because they are the company's business records. A nightly backup is emailed to the company's owner; each company receives only its own data. When a company closes its account, its data is deleted within 90 days, unless the company asks for a copy first, in which case we send the copy and then delete.
Your choices
- You can see and correct your own details in the app under My Profile.
- You can turn notifications off at any time in your phone's settings or in the app.
- Deleting your account: in the app, open My Profile (or Me) and choose Delete my account. Your sign-in stops working straight away and your personal details are removed. Records of visits already carried out and paid for stay with the company as its business records, with your personal details removed. A co-owner who signs in on a household's account can remove themselves under Me, Remove me from this household. You can also ask your pet-care company, email angela@maudehq.com.
- You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you at the same address.
Children
LeashOps is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app and update the date at the top.
